How to Browse EDM Materials

Start with the Material Family

“Steel,” “stainless,” or “copper” is too broad for close planning. Grade, condition, residual stress, corrosion, wear, and functional surfaces change support, finishing, and inspection.

Then Choose the Process

Use material overview pages first, then enter Wire, Sinker, Small Hole, or Micro EDM according to the feature. Continue to thickness, tolerance/finish, or surface-integrity pages only when those axes are part of the drawing question.

Finish with Thickness or Quality

Jumping directly to a highly specific page without confirming grade, condition, and feature access can produce the wrong process or an unnecessary finish requirement.
